Courses for Beginners to Advanced in North Yorkshire
The National Trust property of Fountains Abbey with Studley Royal Water Garden is one of our newest venues for photography courses. Utilising the state of the art visitor centre conference facilities and with access to the gardens, abbey ruins and deer park we have ideal locations for a wide variety of courses. The park is lined with avenues of lime and beech trees which provide natural backdrops for herds of red, fallow and sika wild deer which have been at Studley Royal since medieval times.
The water gardens have two styles, the formal water garden created in 1718 by John Aislabie, added to by his son, William in a picturesque romantic style. Temples and follies are also to be found along the woodland paths, the area is a photographer's dream location at any time of year. Ripon and the surrounding region provides an even wider range of attractions for photographers and general visitors including Ripon Cathedral, the Wakeman’s House, Ripon Spa Gardens, Ripon Races, Newby Hall and Norton Conyers. There is a wealth of things to do and see. Fountains Abbey is easily accessible from Harrogate, Leeds, Bradford and York. |  |
