A lunchtime Eco Club run by the National Trust for children from
Hardwick’s Community Learning Officer, Jo Rawson, has been running the Eco-Club called “Footprints” at the school every Monday lunchtime. Jo said: “The success of the Eco-Club has been amazing. We run a wide range of fun environmental activities to inspire the children and encourage them to care for our environment. Activities focus on all sorts of conservation and environmental issues including re-cycling, composting, food, wildlife identification and how we can all help protect our planet. The children really enjoy the Club and area always eager to tell me what environmentally friendly things they have been doing each week, and all are much more aware of how their actions impact on the world around them.”
