Photograph Birds of Prey

Located at West End Studios, the base of our associates, Photographers on Safari, between Oakham in Rutland & Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, this workshop is particularly good value for money. We will introduce you to new techniques with your digital camera (compact or SLR) to photograph birds of prey in a controlled environment.

On the day the owls and falcons will be flown by a skilled falconer, and positioned to suit our requirements, and you will be able to get very close to them.

We will make the most of some great settings to photograph the static birds, with woodland where we will do our best to hide the jesses, to give the appearance of a real “in the wild” photograph.

To give you the best possible chance to get some flying shots, the birds will be flown in a predictable way over short distances. Even compact cameras should be able to capture some images of birds in flight.
