Woolsthorpe Manor, Woolsthorpe-by-Colsterworth, Lincolnshire, is just off the A1 near Grantham.
In this small 17th-century manor house, his birthplace and family home, Sir Isaac Newton formulated some of his major works between 1665 and 1667. An early edition of his Principia is on display and the orchard includes a descendant of the famous apple tree.
