A great venue for our photography courses, National Trust Longshaw Estate is in the Peak District, not far from Sheffield, Buxton and Bakewell and only 35 miles from Manchester.
There are any number of subjects for photography, including moorland with the remains of millstone quarries where mill wheels remain abandoned, woodland and dramatic panoramas, Padley Gorge with its ancient oaks, tumbling streams and fantastic wildlife.
OPEN DATED 121 PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION: A tailor made one to one photography day of your choice covering any of our core subjects with either Kate or Pandora as your tutor. You will be contacted within 24 hours of booking to discuss the day and arrange a suitable venue. 121 sessions are held on weekdays. One guest is welcome free of charge. Also available as a half day session (£150) for a refresher for someone who already knows the basics and just wants to focus on one particular element of photography. Water and Its Moods at Padley Gorge. The light and conditions at this time of year generally make for some beautiful images around Padley Gorge and the surrounding areas, creating a myriad of opportunities to capture some stunning shots of fast moving water in the most picturesque surroundings.
