This month's picture of the month is by Maria Mc Grath. This photo was taken on the Wildlife Jeep Safari at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. I am just love the interaction in the photo...and the little one's eyes are lovely and sharp. The runner up is a fantastic action shot by Stephen Southcott who attended an Explore Your Digital SLR Pt 2 where we focus more on action.

FEEDBACK
Hey Tish and Andy...I did my first paid wedding 'shoot' yesterday ... the bright sun was a bit tricky, but I found some suitable shade. I think I made the most of the opportunity - I'd been worried about the groups, but they were fine - the best man was super - I got the big group first, then lots of smaller ones and finished with just the couple...I was very pleased with the 'fluff'! I've told the couple that I've got the photos on the computer safely, and backed up - I couldn't go to bed until I'd done that; I've probably got at least 250 very good ones; the flash was easy peasy (I had all your notes with me). Lots of happy photos. Thanks for your excellent training - I looked confident, even if I felt nervous! Kind Regards to you both...
PS I got my ARPS this month - I'm a very happy bunny.
Hi Andy, Thanks for a wonderful day at Thames. It was really useful. I am looking forward to meet you for the second part.
Thanks a lot, Dr. Rajesh Gupta, London.
Hi Andy, Just a quick email to thank you for the Explore 1 course yesterday, it was very informative although I have realised just how much practise I need! No doubt I will be booking part 2 very soon. Many thanks, Jen.
The practical approach to the course really suited my learning style. All errors/bad photos are my doing and not the teaching. Here's a small collection of the better (not necessarily good) photos from tonight that I've posted to my site. I've only done some post processing work in Aperture on 3 of them, 2 of which are evident as they're black and white whilst the 3rd is the pedestrian crossing where I've altered the white balance. Ian. The photos are at my gallery site - Lorry's Vault.
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed today's course at Bodiam, and especially the quality of Andys' (plural) tuition. Great fun. I guess entering pensionerhood I ought to learn a few of the things that I should have learned years ago, and I really felt much more confident about my camera where before it was baffling at times.
I've just phoned Tess in Dubai and she's really pleased too, so thanks.
Time now for a pint of the beer I bought at Bodiam.
Hope we meet again. Cheers, John Richardson.
Hi Tish,
Thought I'd send you a quick email to say I thoroughly enoyed the course on Saturday. I never knew my compact camera could do so much. I'm now planning to seek out some opportunties to practice what I've learnt. I'm particularly keen to remind myself of the points he made about F numbers and ISO...Thanks once again for organising a great course. Best wishes, Francis
Thanks again for all your help and advice on Saturday. I really enjoyed myself, Emmy.
I am sending this e-mail to you so that you have my work and private address to send over the 10D manual that you said you could get for me and the remote software for my Astrophotography. I would also like to say thank you very much for a great day out, both Jenny and myself really enjoyed and learned a lot in a very short time. I now feel much more confident in using my 10D and hope to get to Jenny’s standard or maybe even up to your standard tooJ. If I publish my photos to the web I will forwarded my link if you have a chance to look it over and give me feedback I would be really grateful. Kind regards,
Rob.
Just wanted to say thanks for the course on Saturday at Petworth, it was fantastic - will definitely be booking the follow up course. Rgds Bev.
Thank you so much for your help at the home studio course in Bow, it has helped me understand about studio lighting a lot more and has fueled me even more to reach my goal of being a fashion photographer Many Thanks Dan Brooker
