If you have the right experience and enthusiasm you could be enjoying a very successful business by Summer 2010.  Please email us at franchises@goingdigital.co.uk or telephone Jan Slack on 07970 427381 for an informal discussion.

Potential to Cover Your Setup Costs in Less Than Six Months

Our existing franchisees have already demonstrated how successful a Going Digital franchise can become after just a few months in business.

Business Opportunities in the England, Scotland and Ireland

What Experience Do I Need?

Ideally you should have experience in some or all of the following:

  • photography (either as a keen amateur or professional photographer) - this of course is essential!
  • teaching in a school or college or training in a commercial organisation
  • sales or marketing
  • running your own business

Photography Growing in Popularity

Demand for our workshops is increasing steadily, due to the popularity of digital cameras, and SLR's in particular, since they became much more affordable.

Many people choose to attend two, three or even more of our workshops and recommend us to their friends and family.

What are Going Digital Workshops?

Our one-day workshops offer photography training to leisure photographers, from 'get to know your camera' workshops for beginners or students with a new camera through themed workshops such as landscape and portrait photography, to more advanced subjects.  Students numbers are kept low (not more than 10 people per tutor) to ensure that everyone benefits from personal tuition.  A typical day includes:

  • a presentation to set the scene for the day
  • familisarising the students with the features of their camera that they will be using throughout the day
  • two photography sessions
  • a review of the students' photographs using a computer, projector and screen

We also offer photo-editing workshops using Photoshop Elements and Adobe Photoshop, although as a franchisee you could decide just to offer photography workshops.

  • You can earn additional income by offering one-to-one and other training in your region

How much will the franchise cost?

The maximum setup cost to run photography workshops (including all equipment) will be £8,500* for a 5-year contract.  You will also pay 10% of your ongoing turnover, and a 1% business development levy.   We will be working closely with you to ensure that your franchise enjoys the same success as our other regions, and we will be expanding our network at a moderate pace to ensure that all new franchisees benefit from our advice and assistance as required.

* This includes £7,500 for your Start-up Package and up to £1,000 in equipment, but excludes VAT.
