Peter Smart is the owner of Going Digital South Midlands and, in addition to tutoring workshops and one-to-one experience days himself, he is supported by a fantastic team of experienced tutors.

Peter tutors on a variety of photographic subjects and has a passion for wildlife, travel and conservation. As well as tutoring courses in his own region he is also a Guest Tutor for other Going Digital regions around the country.

Peter also manages Going Digital's programme of safaris and overseas tours and leads many of the trips. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from 25 years of travelling to many of the remote and beautiful wildlife destinations around the World. 

Over the last 12 years he has led nearly 100 tours to more than a dozen different countries and enjoyed the company of hundreds of fellow photographers, many of whom are kind enough to travel with him again and again. 

Recent destinations include Kenya, Madagascar, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, Botswana, Namibia, India, Sri Lanka, Borneo, Brazil, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands and the Arctic.

Richard Berry

Richard is an experienced photographer and photography tutor with over ten years training experience with City & Guilds.

Richard specialises in live music and event photography capturing moods and lighting. Richard also enjoys portrait and landscape photography.

Rod Corston 

Rod favours Landscape Photography and his work reveals time spent in Yorkshire, Cumbria, Scotland, Newcastle on Tyne and the North Northumberland Coast. In addition, he has a passion for Street Photography and Studio Lighting. He has taught photography since the early 1980's and sells images via his web site and in galleries in North Northumberland and on The Isle of Skye.

Rod still regularly uses film cameras (Hasselblad, Nikon and Leica) and he also uses a Nikon D700 and a Leica M9 digital camera. In addition to his Going Digital workshops, Rod had also taught digital Post Processing courses at local colleges and is an experienced user of Apple Aperture, Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.

Rod provides one-to-one tuition on his speciality subjects at our venues in the north of our region and he is also happy to visit you in your home to help you set up and get the best from your own computer, software and photography equipment.
