PHOTOGRAPHING HISTORIC BUILDINGS & ARCHITECTURAL DETAIL

How to photograph architecture

Learn how to take imaginative photographs of buildings, sculptures and architectural detail, and how light can influence your photos so significantly.

How to Photograph Historic Buildings & Architecture

If you are disappointed by your photographs of buildings and architectural detail, and would like to know how to take more pleasing, three-dimensional images, we will show you how to take great photographs, develop an eye for detail and composition, and use light to the best effect in your images.  Our aim is to show you how to take photographs that require only minimal adjustments or editing in Photoshop/Elements.

Get the Best from Your Camera

We will begin this workshop by showing you how to use the features of your camera to take well-exposed photos of buildings and architectural detail, and you will have two practical photography sessions, with a tutor on hand at all times to advise and assist.

You will discover how to photograph buildings in the landscape, and also smaller details and textures.

Photographic Composition

We will show you how to compose interesting and unusual images.

Review your Photos

You will have an opportunity to review and discuss your photos as a group.
