CLOSE-UP & MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES

Learn how to take sharp, imaginative close-up photos of a variety of subjects, from abstracts to detailed shots. This is one area of photography that you can practice throughout the year, whatever the weather!
The day includes two practical photography sessions and an opportunity to review your images. If you have an interchangeable lens camera you don't need a special macro lens to get a lot from this day.
What you will learn:
- how to use the features of your camera for eye-catching close-ups
- what lenses and additional accessories can be used for macro photography
- good composition for stunning images
- lighting techniques
- how to take product shots that could be used on eBay or your own website
- how to take macro shots using compact cameras

Hi Peter and Liz, Thank you for such an inspirational and well presented Macro class yesterday at Kingston Lacy. I really felt intimidated when I saw all the technical cameras, I thought I'd probably leave the class early as I would get lost in the camera technical talk but I really learnt that my compact camera can do what I'd like it to do; it was just a case of knowing where to start and it being set up correctly so thank you. I'm interested in the composition of a photo so if you run that class, preferably at Kingston Lacy I would certainly be interested in joining your class. I would like to do the Landscape class too but I will have to wait a while before booking it. It would probably be good to learn how to fully use the compact now that I know it has huge menus and can do other amazing things. Once again thank you for getting me on track with my photography! Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed
the recent course. Extremely useful regarding the controls on my
camera and very well presented . I will be looking at my diary
to book another very soon. Best regards. John
Thanks for the link for the FB photos. I really enjoyed yesterday and did learn a heck of a lot about lighting and technique and using macro photography for other things as well as flowers. Heather Iveson
Thank you for a very enjoyable and motivating day last
Saturday. I came home full of enthusiasm ready to
put into practice the knowledge gained. Your delivery and
presentation was excellent, easy to understand and follow. The
opportunity of seeing all our photographs on screen and going
through the strong and weak points of each was very helpful. I
bought my camera as a means to an end for before and after
photograph- work related. After Saturday I can envisage a
fulfilling and time consuming hobby ahead. I will definitely be
booking on future courses.
