Anyone Can Compose Good Shots

These are skills that anyone can learn - you don't have to have any special artistic talent, just apply the basic rules.

This workshop explains how you can use various features of your camera to influence your final image and how to 'see' the image before you set up your camera.

From close-ups to landscapes, following the guidelines for good composition, and using your camera to change depth of field and perspective, can transform an ordinary snap into an eye-catching image.

This workshop is suitable for any camera, compact or SLR.

Why some images are so much better than others

On this workshop there will be a practical session to show you how to set up your camera to give you quite different photographs of the same subject. There will be a session showing you how to isolate a good shot within the wider landscape and an opportunity for you to set up and take various photographs with composition in mind. This will be followed by a review of the day's images on computer.
