PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY USING ARTIFICIAL LIGHT

Portrait Photography using Artificial Light

Better Photographs of Your Friends and Family

This workshop is designed for anyone completely new to portrait photography and will show you how to get good portrait shots using simple lighting techniques that you can reproduce at home without spending a fortune.  Our aim is to show you how to take photographs that require only minimal adjustments or editing in Photoshop/Elements.

Use More Features of Your Camera

We will begin the day by showing you how to use more of the features of your camera to take a good portrait photograph.

Relaxed, Flattering Photographs - Getting the Best From Your Subjects

Composing a good photograph that flatters your subject is as important as using your camera correctly.  The day includes advice on how to get the best from your subjects, relaxing them and making your photos look natural, and composition and use of light to give you professional-looking portrait photos.

Review Your Photos

This workshop includes two practical photographic sessions, an opportunity to review your photos as a group.

This workshop is suitable for compact and SLR cameras.  To get the best out of this workshop you will require a tripod (full height).  Optional equipment - reflector, remote shutter release.
