Customer Feedback
Dear Dominic
Just a short email to thank you for an excellent course last Friday at Lacock. I've learnt more in those 6 hours, about my camera and it's functions, than in the 18 months since I bought it. Hope to see you in Winchester on 1 August for Part 2, but I am having a bit of difficulty juggling my dates.
Best Regards
Gareth Williams
Hi Dominic,
I just wanted to thank you for a brilliant day at the workshop in Portsmouth today. I learnt so much and it was great to be able to practice in such an interesting setting. I'm downloading the photos and will review all the settings and see what worked well and what didn't. Having invested in an SLR camera it's great to be able to be a little creative, rather than just taking "snapshots".
I've already ordered Tamron 28-300 lens (thanks for the tip) and have booked a place on the 27th June Winchester course. By then, especially with the new lens, I should have had a chance to practice some of the things I learnt today and will be ready for the next steps!
Thanks again and look forward to seeing you in June
Regards
Shirley
Hi Dominic
This is ideal, thank you.
We both found the day very informative and I am sure it will have assisted James considerably with the skills improvement he is looking to achieve for his Duke of Edinburgh award.
Best regards
Ian
Dom
Just a quick message to say how useful the Digital SLR Part 1 Workshop
was (Lanhydrock 10/10/09).
I didn't do too well at the time (mainly shutter speeds way too slow)
- too much information to take in as I had only just got the camera
and was still finding my way around it. But good course notes and
explanation, and I have subsequently gone through these and worked
through your exercise and experimented with exposure, Aperture & ISO,
and am now getting much more consistent results.
I have also got an EXIF viewer, which I am finding quite useful for
analysing & selecting my photos.
The main thing is that I have learned a tremendous amount from the
day, and am now much more confident about getting reasonable results,
and not just pointing & shooting in Auto mode.
I am attaching 3 photos which I am reasonably please with.
I am hoping to get along to a Digital SLR Part 2 Workshop (Laycock
Abbey maybe) and hopefully push myself a bit further.
Best wishes, and hope to catch up soon,
Regards

Richard
Dom,
Thoroughly enjoyed the course today - a great mixture of class work and
practical learning. I'm loving my camera all over again and feel empowered
to take more creative and better quality photos. Thanks for answering all
my questions and helping me with my camera set-up!
Have booked on Part 2 and am really excited about that!
See you on the 23rd.
Thanks once again,
Debbie
Hi
Thanks very much for the workshop last Saturday.
It was very informative and enjoyable - I feel much more confident in
using my camera - and no more Auto mode!
All the best
Hello Dominic
Richard and I would like to thank you for such an excellent day in Windsor today. We both learned so much and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
We have just signed up for Part 2 on 12th June. We look forward to seeing you then - fingers crossed for similar weather to today.

Hi Dominic,
I just wanted to say a big thankyou for all your help yesterday, everything was explained in a way
that was easy to understand, im looking forward to getting out there with my camera, and out of auto!,
im just trying to decide which course 2 i should go on.
Many thanks again
Louise
Dominic,
Thank you for an excellent workshop last Sunday at Cotehele. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and got a lot out of it, and I am certainly more confident about using my camera on AV priority rather than just auto.
Many thanks
Colin
Dominic,
Just wanted to write and say thank-you very much for a most enjoyable and inspiring course! The content was fantastic, I found it to be very hands-on and practical with great feedback when we reviewed the photos at the end of the day. I am now sorting out my dates to make it onto part 2 in the New Year when hopefully I will have become much more practised - at least in the Aperture mode! Thanks to all involved.
Kind regards
Rhona Stewart
Hi all
Thanks for your contributions to a positive workshop especially for the volunteer models and thanks to Dominic for your presentation and encouagement.
I surprised myself being willing to sit in front of the lens for the first time and when you can produce photos of me that I even like, it says a lot about your talent!
There were great shots, ideas and compositions, so good luck with all your photoghaphic aspirations.
Best wishes to you all
David
Hi Dom.
Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed the Digital SLR course part 1 on Friday 18th February.
As you will have noticed I am not technically minded and was slightly apprehensive
as I hate to appear 'thick'.
You made the whole course intuitive and friendly so that by the end I felt so much more enabled.
I will be out and about so much more now and trying to put your teaching into practice.
I have booked for the SLR part 2 on the 19th March so i look forward to learning much more.
Thank you once again
Jane.
Dear Dominic,
I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you very much for the two courses at Dyrham Park. I thoroughly enjoyed both of them and they certainly helped me get to grips with my new camera. I really enjoyed the mix of theory and practical application too, so that I actually understand the way the camera works, not just what it does.
I will certainly book up another course with you later in the year.
Again, many thanks for a very enjoyable course.
Best wishes, Alex
Hi Dominic
I imagine that you probably don't remember me but I attended your "Photographing Family and Friends" and your "Portrait Photography with Flash" courses in April this year at Lacock Abbey.
I just wanted to let you know that I entered a portrait photography competition at my local photography club which I have recently joined and I won the competition! I am delighted and it wouldn't have happened without your excellent course!
I have also had many compliments from family and friends regarding my photographs.
Thank you again for an excellent two days!
Leslie.
Hi
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed yesterday and how good Sid was as a tutor, very helpful and patient.
I can't wait to get out there and put the skills I learnt yesterday to good use.
Thank you
Jan
Thank you for such a great course. I'm so excited that I may actually be able to use my camera and I truly understand why I don't ever need to (or want to) go on the Auto setting ever again!
Thank you for explaining everything so well and I can't wait to get out there tomorrow and really practise everything I've learnt over the weekend.
Best wishes
Charlie
Hi Peter
I hope you both had a good trip home.
Just wanted to thank you both again for an extremely enjoyable and inspiring couple of days. My husband has been nagging me to do something creative as a hobby for ages and I'm hoping i've now found it! Somehow I think the credit card is about to take a hammering.
Anyway, thanks for the advice and encouragement which was very much appreciated. I hope to catch you on another course in the future, but in the meantime wishing you all the best.
Kind regards
Gail
Oh Dear, me head is still smoking from all the information we learned today @ Margam Country Park, I had a fantastic time and experience - the lessons were very good and much better that I expected. Have now booked Part 2 in Feb and look forward to learning alot more....Tutor was brilliant in making sure you understood, just need to put this into practice now !!!! Thank you
Would definately recommend to others, it's a great starter course with the urge of wanting to know more.
