With the increasing popularity of SLR cameras, we have decided to offer two workshops to familiarise you with the way in which your digital SLR works, in addition to the many themed workshops* in our schedule.
Our tutors are familiar with a wide range of makes and models of SLR, so you can be sure to improve your photography, whatever your camera. You will be part of a small group so you will benefit from personal advice and tuition throughout the day.
Explore the Features of Your Digital SLR CameraThis day is designed to help you take control of your photography by showing you how your SLR works and which features of your camera to use to get better photos in a variety of situations, in particular how to set an appropriate Aperture to take control of your images. If you are still using Auto mode, or are disappointed with your photographs, this workshop is for you. | Your Digital SLR Camera in DepthAll you'll ever need to know about your SLR camera. If you have attended our Explore the Features of Your Digital SLR workshop or you already have a good understanding of depth of field and set an appropriate Aperture, and would like to learn more about your camera's potential, this day is designed to give you a much better understanding of how your camera and lenses work together. |
SLR cameras have removable lenses, allowing you to fit a lens that is appropriate for a specific purpose. If you have a large compact (bridge) camera, you may prefer to attend the Get More from Your Compact Camera workshop.
* On our themed workshops, we cover just those features of your camera that you will be using on the day, for example on our Landscape Photography workshops we begin by showing you just those features of your camera that you should use to take great landscape photos.
If you prefer training tailored to your specific requirements, either on a one-to-one basis, or for a small group, please see One-to-one.
