WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES IN LONDON

One-Day Workshops at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, Surrey
You are guaranteed to take home some fantastic wildlife photographs on your Introduction to Wildlife Photography Courses at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, the home of Chessington Zoo where we have made special arrangements for our photographers to get INTO THE ZOO WHEN IT IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC!
Chessington World of Adventures Resort is just 12 miles from Central London, close to the A3 and M25 (junction 9 or 10). Our Wildlife Photography Courses are held in the Zoo’s Education Centre. All Zoo entrance fees are included. Refreshments are provided but lunch is not so you can bring a sandwich lunch or eat in the Zoo Cafeteria. Chessington Zoo is perfectly designed for animal photography with rain-protected glass viewing areas specially designed to ensure the Sumatran Tigers and the Western Lowland Gorillas get up close and personal with the photographers. With opportunities to capture both portraits and action, this is a fantastic venue with a huge variety of animals to learn and practice all the skills you need to perfect your animal photography. The benefit of learning animal photography at a zoo is you are guaranteed* the animals are there to practice your wildlife photographic skills.
We will have the opportunity to photograph tigers, lions, leopards, gorillas, over twenty different types of cute and cheeky monkeys, splashing penguins and sea lions, many other species of exotic animals and birds from all over the world, and at the new Wanyama Village & Reserve, the Grevy’s Zebra and the rare Scimitar Horned Oryx that roam freely before your very eyes.
Two different courses are available at Chessington Zoo - Wildlife Photography for DSLRs and Compact System cameras (that have the facility to set aperture), and Wildlife Photography for point and shoot Compact Cameras that use Scene Modes(SCN). Please make sure you book on the right course for your camera.
*All animals & wildlife are subject to availability
Student Feedback
Hi Andy, just wanted to say "Thank you" for a brilliant day yesterday at Chessington Zoo. We learnt loads & have some great photos. It was fab to have the zoo to ourselves. Sara & GlynP.S This is the fifth course I have done with your team (part 1 & 2, portraits family & friends, portraits with flash previously) & I can't recommend you highly enough. Every "tutor" has been knowledgable & approachable. The courses have been fun & easy going but I've still learnt loads. In under a year I have gone from a complete novice always on auto, to loving experimenting with my new found skills. Thank you all for sharing your love of photography. Sarah.
Hello Andy, Thank you very much for a great day at the Chessington Zoo today. It was a great fun and the pace of the course was just perfect. With your help, I finally managed to make sense of my camera's very complicated auto focus system. Regards Mohammad
Hello Andy, I just wanted to say a very big thank you for the Photography Workshop at Chessington Zoo yesterday. I thought the day was extremely well organised and presented - and I had a thoroughly enjoyable day. So my thanks to you and the team. I look forward to meeting up with you on another workshop some time soon...MARTIN
