This residential is three days touring around the Cambrian Mountains and Elan Valley in mid-Wales. This is an all-inclusive residential: all accommodation, meals, entry to Red Kite Feeding and transport around the area in a dedicated minibus are provided.

We will explore multiple types of photography including:

Landscape
Low-light
Wildlife
Long exposure
Night sky
Light painting

Day 1 Friday 19th: Visit to Devil's Bridge* to explore the Vale of Rheidol and the 300ft waterfall and grab some lunch, stop off at a disused lead mine on the valley road back to Elan Valley and then the Ar Elan Bridge for some low light / light trails.

Day 2 Saturday 20th: Tour around the Elan Valley estate, landscapes and long exposures at the incredible dams and hopefully some waterfalls with a tutorial on different effects for long exposure. Night sky workshop with Dafydd Wyn Morgan after dinner until late!

Day 3 Sunday 21st: After a late Saturday night, Alan will be hosting Lightroom editing tips in the Lodge in the morning and providing a general drop-in for photo critique / discussion. Followed by Gigrin Farm for an afternoon of Red Kite feeding to really test out your skills at photographing these beautiful birds!
