Join us this spring for a unique photography experience at the beautiful Harewood Estate — a workshop like no other, with exclusive access to private land and photo opportunities not available to the public.
We’ll be led by John, Harewood’s Education Officer, who will guide us through the estate’s rich landscape and wildlife. Travelling by access trailer, with some walking required to reach the very best viewpoints, we’ll explore untouched woodland — carpeted with breathtaking bluebells — and scenic vistas perfect for landscape photography.
Our day will run from 10am until 3pm, with a gentle meander through the woodland and estate grounds as we stop frequently to take photographs. Weather permitting, we’ll enjoy our packed lunch on one of the hilltops — a beautiful spot where red kites are known to soar overhead.
Along the way, we’ll meet some of the estate’s most characterful residents, including new spring arrivals. From Deer, Highland cattle and sheep to local celebrity Cyril, the Vietnamese pot-bellied pig, who now even has his own book — there will be no shortage of photographic inspiration.
Please note:While we hope to encounter a variety of animals, specific sightings cannot be guaranteed as Harewood is a working estate. We will make every effort to seek out and photograph whatever wildlife and livestock are accessible on the day.
