Current UK Franchise Opportunities
East Anglia and East of England Franchises
Both well-established territories, these regions are only for sale due to health reasons.
East of England includes Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire, including such prestigious venues as Burghley House at Stamford. There are opportunities to run a wide range of workshops from our best-selling Explore Your Camera Part 1 to Wildlife workshops at Hamerton Zoo, where students have privileged access to tigers and cheetah.
East Anglia covers Norfolk, Suffolk and North Essex and offers opportunities for a wide range of workshops from our best-selling Explore Your Camera Part 1 to Birds of Prey and coastal Landscape Photography.
If you are an experienced photographer who would enjoy passing on your photographic knowledge and skills (for more details see What Experience Do I Need below), with the backing of Going Digital's tried and tested resources, website, brand and marketing, please get in touch with the franchise owner:
Peter Hallam on 07742 614393, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our franchisees may have openings for tutors in your area, and several of our franchisees have initially joined us as tutors before going on to purchase their own territory, so please feel free to get in touch with your regional contact.
How much can I expect to earn?
The majority of our franchisees enjoy turnover in the range of £4,000 to £5,500 per month, with excellent profitability.
How much will the franchise cost?
You will not have to make a massive investment, however the cost of a franchise will depend on the turnover history of the region you're purchasing. You will also pay 10% of your ongoing turnover, and a 2% marketing and development levy. We will be working closely with you to ensure that your franchise enjoys the same success as all our other regions.
How Many Workshops Will I Be Running?
You should be prepared to run group workshops most Saturdays and Sundays, as well as one-to-one training on weekdays as required.
What Experience Do I Need?
Ideally you should possess some or all of the following qualities & experience:
photography (either as a keen amateur or professional photographer with a good portfolio of images)
teaching in a school or college or training in a commercial organisation
sales or marketing
running your own business
If you meet the above criteria, we'd be pleased to hear from you.
Potential to Cover Your Setup Costs in Less Than Six Months
As you will be taking over an established region, you will benefit from proven turnover and profitability figures.
Photography Growing in Popularity
Demand for our workshops is increasing steadily, due to the popularity of digital cameras, and DSLR's in particular, since they became much more affordable. Many people choose to attend two, three or even more of our workshops and recommend us to their friends and family.
What are Going Digital Workshops?
Our one-day workshops offer photography training to leisure photographers, from 'get to know your camera' workshops for beginners or students with a new camera through themed workshops such as landscape and portrait photography, to more advanced subjects. Students numbers are kept low (not more than 10 people per tutor) to ensure that everyone benefits from personal tuition. A typical day includes:
a presentation to set the scene for the day
familiarising the students with the features of their camera that they will be using throughout the day
two photography sessions
a review of the students' photographs using a computer, projector and screen
