I'm a professional photographer, specialising in portraits, lifestyle, wedding photography and anything involving people. My particular expertise lies in lighting; I work with natural light, studio lights and flash.

Prior to joining Going Digital my background was in education and training for a well known vocational awarding body so helping people learn new skills has always been important to me. When I am not teaching you will find me and my camera looking for the perfect Street Photography image

I’m most at home wandering the lakes and fells looking for great landscape images but have over thirty years of professional photographic experience, encompassing a broad range of styles and genres. Knowledge and insights will expand your joy of photography.

David Shoukry

Most of my work is studio portraiture: I photograph people in the arts and media, shooting editorial for newspapers & magazines. I’m interested in working with colour and texture, often taking inspiration from older painted portraiture and cinema, and I like to incorporate interesting set design into my work when I can.
