Birds of Prey & Action
Fens Falconry, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
The perfect opportunity to take the next step to improve your photography of birds in flight and capturing portraits in natural surroundings. This workshop is split into two sessions the first is a Zoom pressentation at 7pm on the 21st May where I will explain how to take images of the birds both in flight and perched. The second is the practical session at the venue on the 22nd which runs from 2pm to 6pm to take advantage of the best evening light for photographing the birds.

Buzzard hide workshop for 3 students with experienced wildife photographer and tutor Laura Galbraith. Session runs from 10.30am to 4pm. Travel and street photowalk starting from the Michaelhouse Cafe in Cambridge. We will spend 4hrs capturing the architecture, people in passing, odd details and intriguing signage in the iconic city of Cambridge. Limited to just 4 students this is the perfect opportunity to develop your photographic eye to take the best advantage of the photo opportunities that come your way. Photowalk runs from 2pm to 6pm and is suitable for any camera including a modern smatphone.
Workshop explaining how to create studio type photos of dogs. We will start with the basics (one flash and a reflector) and work up to more technical lighting set ups (2 to 3 lights). To attend you need to have a good working knowledge of your camera as this is a skill level 3 course. This workshop runs from 10am until 4pm and is held in Burwell, Cambridgeshire and is limited to just 3 students

At Hamerton Zoo we have privileged access to the animals, accompanied by their senior staff, so you really are just inches away from their big cats! To ensure Covid compliance the presentation part of this workshop is delivered via Zoom at 7pm on the evening before the practical session. At the practical session we have two photography sessions with special access so that you can take natural-looking wildlife shots all with experineced tutor and wildlife photographer Laura Galbraith on hand to assist with the photogprahy and Ben our keeper for the day to grant us access and encourage the animals into the best positions. Students have been know to return on several occasions to repeat this workshop.

Explore Your Camera Part 1 - Get off Auto
Ely Cathedral
Our traditional Get Off Auto workshop with only 3 students. We will meet in a coffe shop in Ely for the how to part of the session before heading off around Ely and the Cathedral for the practical part of the session. The small group size is more COVID secure and ensures every student gets the assistance they require. The session runs from 1pm to 4.30pm

3 hr 1-1 Session on Adobe Lightroom photo editing software tailored to your needs. Sessions are held in my studio in Burwell. If you would like a different location this can be arranged but there will be an additional charge of £0.45 per mile from Burwell. An additional student is also possible for an aditional charge of £25.
